Here are some Words from the newest member of the Locution Revolution team who we are very happy to have on board... Bobby Girth:
I started at 11 spinning and learning how to scratch. In college, I learned the battle side to dj'ing, while doing parties to survive. To supplement income, I would make mixtapes and sell them for a couple bucks just to help add to financial aid.
Due to todays society and attitude toward hip hop. Now I am pretty much a basement dj. I refrain to use the prefix "DJ" because I feel it is a title a person should EARN. You got a lot of people calling themselves DJ's but they play the same mierda that is on the radio, and show no skills, they make a mixtape and talk through the whole pinche cd where your skills should take precedence, or they scratch the same loop for 5 minutes, while echoing EVERY DAMN SONG on the tape.
Nowadays, I feel it is important to remind everyone what hip hop was originally about. So I try to maintain the spirit of hip hop through my mixtapes and beats. For the past 11 years, I have been making my own remixes, and produced beats for my immediate friends who are struggling to get a deal.
Thanks to the internet, now mc's and dj's have a voice that they didn't have years ago. I am now taking that opportunity to provide you with that real sound. No water sprinkler beats, or popcorn cotton candy sh*t. As long as I have one person that likes what I do, I will continue to provide good music.
Thank you to all that have supported my work. I hope I continue to entertain you.
